insert a plastic tool/sheet under the collar lip then work your way round it with a screw driver

rotating the yellow plastic round the collar  - so that you do not damage the collar lip in one spot

Lift each part up a bit slowly and work your way round up.

You can also use a business card - this prevents marking the dial in case you wish to re use it.

Hold the clear plastic centre down (use a finger ) while you work around the circular collar , holding it down will prevent it snapping off from the part it is attached to.

If you are unlucky enough to break it off then use superglue to reattach. It is like a cylinder that is stuck to a clar sheet of plastic. So when applying pressure you want to hold down the clear cylinder part whilst you slowly prise up the metal collar.
